Goodcrews’ office crew: Ruth Suiker!
In this occasional column, we put our staff in the spotlight. Behind the scenes, Ruth Suiker is now a familiar face: time to introduce her!
Ruth lives ‘between the rivers’ and has shipping in her blood.
Inland navigation
With one grandfather who was a sailor and another who was a naval architect, it was almost a given that Ruth would end up in the world of inland navigation. Ruth: “I met Patrick through a work placement at another company. When I heard there was a vacancy at Goodcrew, I applied straight away!”
Placing people
Ruth has now been working at Goodcrew for over a year. She is responsible for placing people on barges. “Most of my work is behind a desk. I love it! With a computer and phone at my fingertips, I can help everyone as well and efficiently as possible.”
Valuable relationships
Ruth has already built many valuable relationships in her role and is looking forward to the future: “I hope to work with you for a long time to come, and who knows, maybe we’ll meet one day!”
